BOOKINGS: All bookings & details will be arranged with and confirmed by the client (or the client’s agent) and Lauren Fry of Makeup & Hair Artistry by Lauren. Lauren’s services will be secured only when the client’s booking fee is received in cleared funds. The listed package prices indicate the minimum spend required per 4 or 6 services respectively. Once a booking fee has been paid the original package price quoted for at the time of booking cannot be reduced to a cheaper package. In the event that, on the day of the wedding or event, there are less people who require services than originally quoted for at the time of the payment of the booking fee then the client is liable for full payment of the original quote amount.

 

BRIDAL PREVIEWS: The client understands that a bridal preview (trial) is highly recommended in order to ensure client satisfaction on the day. The maximum time allocation to a bridal hair and makeup preview is 3.5 hours and for a single service preview 2 hours. Any additional time required will be booked as a repeat preview. If a second makeup and/or hair preview is requested the same cost applies as for the first.

 

PAYMENT: In order to secure Lauren’s availability for wedding date a non-refundable booking fee of 600€ (inclusive of IVA at 21%) is due at the time of booking. An invoice for the balance will be sent to the client 6 weeks before the date of the date of the wedding. If the wedding is in less than 6 weeks’ time it will be sent immediately after the booking has been secured. Full payment of the final balance is required 4 weeks before the wedding at the latest, and if the wedding is less than 4 weeks away full payment is required to secure the booking.

In order to secure Lauren’s availability for editorial services a non-refundable booking fee of 100€ (inclusive of IVA at 21%) is due at the time of booking. An invoice for the balance will be sent 2 weeks before the date of the booked service with payment of the final balance required no later than 1 week before the date of the service. If the booked service is in less than 1 weeks’ time full payment is required to secure the booking.  

For special occasion or makeup lesson services a non-refundable booking fee of 50€ (inclusive of IVA at 21%) is due at the time of booking. An invoice for the balance will be sent to the client 3 days before the date of the booked service and must be paid no later than the end of the day of the service. If the booked service is in less than 3 days full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer only. Please contact your bank for individual details of foreign transaction fees, payment for which is the responsibility of the client.

 

TRAVEL: All associated travel costs to one location are included within the booking price. A supplementary fee of 50€ applies when Lauren is required to move from one location to another. All single person bookings for makeup lessons and special occasion services are carried out at Lauren's home studio in Andratx.

 

CANCELLATION: Should a client need to make a cancellation after the booking process has been completed the booking fee is non refundable. If a cancellation is made with less than 28 days to go before the wedding or event then the full balance must be paid. All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to LaurenFmua@hotmail.com. 

In the unlikely event of an emergency or similar that necessitates Lauren being unable to provide services booked on the day of the wedding or event, a trusted alternative professional will be found by Lauren in order to fulfill the booking. Where alternative arrangements cannot be made a full refund will be provided within 14 days.

 

WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA: Photos taken by Lauren on the day of the event may be used as examples of Lauren‘s work for future clients to view. Any other vendors involved will receive proper credit for their work. The client gives consent to using any photos on the Makeup & Hair Artistry by Lauren website/portfolio/social media. Lauren will email you to request any required photos and may also reach out to your photographer. 

 

LIABILITY: Hygiene is of utmost importance to Lauren. All items of makeup/hair equipment are kept sanitary. All tools and products are sanitised between every makeup application. Any skin condition, allergy or other contraindication (cold sores, eye infections etc) must be reported prior to any application. The client agrees to release the makeup artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. Lauren reserves the right to cancel the agreed service(s) if the behaviour of the client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the client reports a condition that Lauren deems as a risk to health/well-being/cross contamination. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the client for the service are non-refundable.

 

COVID-19: In the event that a wedding is cancelled because restrictions at the time of the wedding date make it impossible that it can go ahead, then the booking fee is returned and the client is not liable for the full balance if within 28 days of the date.

If a wedding is postponed because restrictions at the time of the wedding make it impossible that it can go ahead I will always try to accommodate the new date. In cases where I am already booked on the new date the booking fee is returned and the client is not liable for the full balance if within 28 days of the date.

In the event a wedding is cancelled or postponed by choice due to Covid 19 related issues but outside of Force Majeure, that is, it is not impossible for it to go ahead, then in this case the booking fee will be withheld and all terms and conditions apply as set out here.
